I saw this a week or two ago. Stunning work commenting on the beauty of an untainted landscape whilst also augmenting this landscape. While the idea itself is great, an open window onto the landscape, it is the execution that really makes it special. Made from small stainless steel rods the sculptural framing of the negative space assembles itself in an organic swarm rising from the ground. It strikes a balance between creating its own aesthetic presence and also satisfying its conceptual motives by emphasising its absence in its own central point of interest.

It was created by Lead Pencil Studio and is located at the Canada-US border near Vancouver.
