I went to see this last night in Swan Cinema. Was even better on the bigscreen then I had anticipated, the art direction in all it’s large scale grandeur was awe-inspiring while the narrative is made much more coherent with the new edit. The music was a bit overwrought and melodramatic but that’s kind of what you want for a film like this. As Melissa points out it is showing until 23 September in the IFI, you hardly need me to recommend it.
